Biographical Info

Professor Uwuigbe Olubukunola ‘Ranti graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University with a B.sc (Hons) Accounting and MBA (Master of Business Administration). She is a Ph.D holder in Accounting from Covenant University and she also attended University of Lagos, where she read M.Sc. Accounting.

Prof. Uwuigbe Olubukunola joined Covenant University as a lecturer in June 2004 and has since remained in the services of the University. She has served in various capacities which include, but not limited to the followings: She was the Head, Department of Accounting, Covenant University Ota, from 2016 to 2018. She is also Chairman, College of Business and Social Sciences Vision 10:2022 committee, 2018 – till date. She is the sub-head, research cluster on Environmental, Sustainability and Integrated Reporting Issues.

In her professional quests, she is an Associate member, Chartered Management Accountant (UK); Associate, Chartered Global Management Accountants United Kingdom (CGMA); Associate Member, Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI), Fellow International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation (FCFIP). She is also a Fellow, Association of Forensic Accounting Researchers.

 

Prof. Uwuigbe has published several articles in learned journals and chapters in books. She was a recipient of several achievements/scholarship, Fellowships and Prizes and awards.  She is a recipient of the 2020/2021 AAFA/PAFA research grant

She has been a visiting lecturer to many schools like Landmark University, Bells University, Elizade University etc. Recently, she has assessed professorial candidates from both private and state universities.
