Owoeye Taiwo Felicia has established herself both as a technologist and a researcher in the areas of natural products and medicinal chemistry. She obtained her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Industrial Chemistry in 2019 and 2021, respectively, from Bell University of Technology Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria. Her M.Sc. dissertation was entitled “Corrosion Inhibitive Effect and Adsorption Behavior of Chrysophyllum Albidum, G.Don. Plant extract on Mild Steel in an Acidic Medium. She is a senior technologist in the Chemistry department at Covenant University, Ota.” She is a recipient of many prestigious awards’’. An innovator and exhibitor, her research products have earned her several awards at both the local, national, and international level. At the Covenant University level (Most Outstanding Technologists in Chemistry Department during the 2012/2013 academic session and Most Outstanding Technologists in Chemistry Department during the 2013/2014 academic session), a local award at Bell University of Technology (Overall Best at Exhibition Competition Held at the Bell University of Technology Ota, Ogun State, November 2nd–4th, 2016),and various national awards (national award at NUC exhibition held in Akwa, Nigeria, November 2nd–4th, 2016).She received a silver medal and a bronze medal. Two different awards were given in collaboration with other exhibitors at CUCRID during the exhibition organized by Science Technology held in Abuja, Nigeria. As one of the distinguished researchers at Covenant University, Ota, Nigeria,She became the first female to hold a patent at Covenant University in Ota, Nigeria, and this has resulted in the commercialization of the various products patented. At international level, she received a certificate of gold award presented by WICO (World Invention Creativity Olympic) held on August 20-22, 2020 for outstanding creativity and presentation. She received another gold award presented by Africa OCIIP (Organization for Creativity, Innovation, and Invention Promotion) held on November 17–19, 2020, for best presentation and outstanding creativity. She has been actively involved in research through self-initiation and collaboration with other researchers on local, national, and international platforms, and this has led to numerous publications in accredited peer-reviewed scientific journals.
