Biographical Info

Solomon Oranusi obtained a B. Sc Microbiology from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (1992), M. Sc and Ph. D Microbiology from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (1997, 2002). He registered and passed as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (Bacteriology and Parasitology) from the Institute of Medical Laboratory Sciences ABUTH. He also registered and passed as a Public Analyst from the Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria.  Solomon had the privilege of serving in various capacities/positions in the institutions he has worked. He served as the Sub-Dean School of Postgraduate Studies and is currently the Head of Departments Biological Sciences Covenant University. He also served as the Acting Head of Department Biological Sciences and Acting Head of Department Environmental Sciences of the Igbinedion University, Okada, and as Acting HOD Biological Sciences Western Delta University Oghara. He also served as an academic adviser and as chair/member of various committees. As A microbiologist with a background in Food, and Industrial Microbiology, Medical Microbiology, Medical Parasitology, he has thought a wide range of courses in microbiology both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, Solomon Oranusi has supervised over 25 postgraduate students, including five Ph.D.’s and currently, he is supervising five other Ph.D’s.
