ASCERTAINING THE EFFICACY OF THE DEVELOPMENT-ORIENTED TEACHING-TESTING [DOTT] MODEL AT INSTITUTIONAL LEVEL
[Concept note attached]
—————–
Quality education is arguably the instrument per excellence for national development. Psychological assessment is virtually indispensable to quality education, wellbeing and all-round positive development. It is the valid means of making valid diagnosis, monitoring progress, ascertaining attainment of set goals and for making reliable comparative analysis for selection, recruitment & promotional purposes.  Virtually all over the world, teachers and students ‘dance to the tune of psychological assessment.’  Psychological Assessment tools are therefore potential devices for catalyzing productivity and development. These surmises constitute the central thesis of the development-oriented teaching-testing [DOTT] model. The core objective of this study is to explore the efficacy of development-oriented psychological assessment mode using documentary analysis research design. The overriding inference drawn from the exploration is that consistent application of the DOTT model holds the potential of enhancing learning, productivity and development, especially in developing countries.
Keywords: Psychological Assessment, Development, Productivity, Testing, Learning.
