Biographical Info

Prof. Timothy Ashibel Anake started his academic career in 2004 at Igbinedion University, Okada in Edo State, after obtaining B.Sc and M.Sc degrees from the University of Uyo and Ibadan, respectively. He moved on to Covenant University in November 2006, where he has had a fulfilling career. He obtained a Ph.D in Mathematics from Covenant University in 2011, specializing in Numerical solutions of initial value problems of ordinary differential equations. He is a Mathematics Professor and served as Coordinator of the Mathematics Unit from 2012 to 2014, Ag. Head of Department in the 2016/2017 academic session, Dean of Student Affairs in the 2017/2018 academic session, and Director of Academic Planning at Covenant University between August 2019 and February 2022. He is the current Dean of the College of Science and Technology. He has taught and supervised both at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has served as internal and external examiner of M.Sc and Ph.D thesis within and outside covenant University. He is currently in the supervision team of two Ph.D candidates in the Department of Mathematics. He has published several articles in local and international journals and attended conferences and workshops within and outside Nigeria. He is interested in the numerical computation of solutions of Integral and fractional differential equations using grid-free methods. He is a happily married Christian and blessed with two children.
