Dr. Isaacson Bababode Adelani is a lecturer and researcher in the Department of Biochemistry. He obtained his B.Sc. and M.Sc. Biochemistry from Covenant University, Ota. His area of specialization is Clinical Biochemistry, Biochemical & Environmental Toxicology. He is currently focused on elucidating mechanisms through which vitamin D modulate cancer progression. Mr. Adelani is an alumni of University of Florida One Health programme obtained through United States Department of Defence scholarship in 2014. He was a Fulbright Visiting Student Researcher 2019/2020 at Tuskegee University, Alabama and Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio, USA. During this period, he worked in Prof. Clayton Yates’ laboratory in the Department of Biology, Tuskegee University and Prof. Moray Campbell’s laboratory in College of Pharmacy, Ohio State University. He is an associate member of American Association for Cancer Research (AACR), a member of Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC), African Organisation for Research and Training in Cancer (AORTIC), Nigerian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NSBMB), and Nigerian Bioinformatics and Genomics Network (NBGN).
